One Day

One day at MATSU.

A stay that becomes the highlight of the trip itself. Walk through one day at this house, hour by hour.

The living-dining room and bed nook in afternoon light

15:00

One code, and you are in.

Self check-in with a smart lock — and luggage drop-off even before check-in, so you hit the streets light the moment you arrive.

The dark wooden kitchen with a stainless sink

18:30

Arcade finds, straight to the kitchen.

Groceries from the covered shopping street a short walk away, cooked in a full kitchen. Even the fishmonger's catch of the day meets a proper set of Japanese knives.

The long dining table set for ten

19:30

A table for ten, and today's highlights.

The heart of the house is one long table that seats ten. What you saw today, where you'll go tomorrow — at night, conversation becomes the main course.

A quiet bedroom with white duvets and grey knit throws

23:00

To your own quiet.

The third floor is given over entirely to sleep. Seven real beds, so everyone rests properly — even in a big group. Today's tiredness ends today.

White mugs lined up in rows

8:00

A morning with no queue.

Two washlet toilets and a separate vanity. The dryer takes care of the laundry while you plan the day. Mornings that feel like living here, not just staying.

By check-out, one thought will have settled in — “I'm glad we chose this place.”

Spaces

Three floors,
three kinds of time.

The living-dining room around a long acacia table

The LDK with a table for ten

The heart of the second floor is one long table that seats ten — for laying out the evening's arcade haul, or for slow morning coffee. Beyond it, a curtained bed nook and a second bedroom with beautiful washi-panelled walls.

Tatami bedroom with light falling through wooden blinds

The quiet sleeping floor

The third floor is given over entirely to sleep: a tatami room where light falls through wooden blinds, and a second room with grey knit throws. Seven real beds — two singles, five semi-doubles — so even a large group keeps its own quiet.

Washing machine with a Panasonic dryer stacked above, and a vanity sink

Bath & laundry

A separate bathroom, and a dedicated Panasonic tumble dryer above the washer — laundry for ten disappears while you travel. Washlet toilets on both the first and second floors mean no queue in the morning.

Food Map

Buy, cook, eat.

The food shops of this neighborhood cover every scene: tonight's fish from the arcade fishmonger, the big shop at the supermarket, midnight cravings at the store that never closes. The fishmonger's catch, cut with the knives from the wooden box — an Osaka no hotel can serve, on your own table.

  • Echizenya The arcade fishmonger. Choose today's catch here.
  • Life A well-stocked supermarket for the whole stay.
  • Lamu Open 24 hours, for whenever the idea strikes.
